Section 1

What IndoLink Is

IndoLink is a closed, invite-based community connecting Indian professionals working in the UK. Its purpose is to help members build genuine professional relationships, and where relevant, to facilitate referrals and insight between members at different companies.

IndoLink is not a recruitment agency, employment agency, or legal entity providing employment, immigration, or career services. It does not guarantee jobs, interviews, referrals, or any specific outcome. Nothing on this site or in the community constitutes professional, legal, immigration, or career advice, and members should seek independent advice where relevant.

Section 2

Governance

IndoLink is an independently run community, conceived, built, and operated by a single individual or a small group of individuals. There is no committee, board, or member vote governing how it is run.

Decisions relating to membership, eligibility, rules, community direction, and any changes to how IndoLink operates rest solely with the admin(s). This includes, but is not limited to, who is admitted or removed, what features or tiers are introduced, and how the community evolves over time.

This structure exists to keep IndoLink consistent, quick to act on issues as they arise, and accountable to a defined point of responsibility rather than diffused across a group. Member feedback is genuinely welcomed and often shapes decisions, but is advisory, not binding.

IndoLink is not a members' association, cooperative, or collective decision-making body, and participation in the community does not confer any governance right, voting right, or ownership stake.

Section 3

Membership Eligibility

Standard membership is open to Indian professionals in active, full-time employment at a UK company. Eligibility is self-declared at the point of joining and may be reviewed at any time.

Membership may be declined or revoked if a member's employment status cannot be confirmed, is found to be inaccurate, or changes such that they no longer meet the eligibility criteria. A member who joined while genuinely employed and subsequently experiences redundancy or a change in circumstances is treated differently from an applicant who was not in active employment at the point of joining, IndoLink retains discretion in both cases.

Members may seek referrals or insight on behalf of a friend or family member who is not themselves a member, provided the member is willing to vouch for that person.

A limited, paid jobseeker tier is available on a discretionary, invite basis to individuals who are not in active employment but who meet a bar of relevant prior experience or qualifications. Terms for this tier are set out separately in Section 7.

Section 4

Referrals and Member Conduct

All referral activity on IndoLink is conducted by members in their personal capacity, as individuals, not as representatives, agents, or spokespeople of their employer. Nothing said or done through IndoLink should be construed as an official statement, endorsement, or action taken on behalf of any company.

Members are not authorised by IndoLink, and should not represent themselves, as acting under any employer's instruction or authority when referring, discussing roles, or sharing insight. What members choose to share about their own experience, their own honest opinion of a role, team, or company, is no different from the kind of conversation any employee is free to have privately, on platforms like LinkedIn, or with friends and family. IndoLink does not solicit, direct, or coordinate outreach on any member's behalf, and does not instruct members to act, recommend, or refer in any capacity connected to their employment.

Standard employee referral programmes exist at most companies precisely because employers recognise and permit this kind of individual, voluntary advocacy. IndoLink does not extend, replace, or interfere with any employer's own referral process, members simply use the access and channels their employer already makes available to them, in the same way they would for any personal contact.

Referrals given through IndoLink are entirely voluntary. No member is obligated to respond, assist, or act, and IndoLink holds no expectation, formal or informal, that they do so. IndoLink accepts no responsibility for the outcome of any referral, application, or hiring decision, these are matters entirely between the member, the candidate, and the employer.

Section 5

Removal and Conduct Standards

Membership may be paused or ended at the admin's discretion, including but not limited to: inaccurate or lapsed employment status, prolonged unresponsiveness that undermines the network's usefulness to others, spam or solicitation unrelated to IndoLink's purpose, or conduct that breaches the trust the community depends on.

Removal is intended to protect the value and trust of the network for existing members, not as a punitive measure. Members are welcome to reapply if their circumstances change and they once again meet the eligibility criteria.

Section 6

Data and Privacy

At the point of joining, IndoLink collects the details provided in the request form, including name, contact information, employer, and role. This information is used solely to assess eligibility, facilitate connections within the community, and communicate with members. It is not sold, traded, or shared with third parties.

IndoLink does not publish a directory linking individual members to their employer. The public company directory shows company names only. Connections between members and specific companies are made directly by the admin, on request, within the closed community.

Any community-wide data collection, such as polls, is conducted with the understanding that responses may inform published, aggregated insights. Where results are published externally, this will be made clear in advance, and participation will always be optional. IndoLink does not retain raw, individually identifiable poll data once aggregated results have been published.

Members may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their data at any time by contacting the admin directly.

Section 7

Jobseeker Tier Terms

The jobseeker tier is a limited, discretionary tier for individuals not in active employment, capped at a fixed number of spots at any given time. Access is granted only following a review of the applicant's background, IndoLink accepts applicants with relevant prior work experience or qualifications that would make a referral credible to the network.

The fee for this tier is charged on a rolling monthly basis and may be cancelled at any time. It exists to cover the running costs of the community, it is not intended to generate profit. Payment does not guarantee a referral, interview, or job outcome.

Jobseeker tier members are held to the same community standards as standard members. Upon securing full-time UK employment, jobseeker tier members are eligible to transition to standard, free membership.

Section 8

Sponsorship, Polls, and Third-Party Information

From time to time, IndoLink may publish information gathered from its members, such as poll results, or may enter into arrangements with third parties, such as sponsorships or partner offers for members.

Any such information is presented as a snapshot reflecting individual member responses or arrangements at a point in time. It is not independently verified, does not represent official company policy, and should not be relied upon as a substitute for direct confirmation from the relevant employer or organisation.

Any sponsorship or partnership arrangement will be disclosed plainly to members where it materially affects them.

Section 9

Changes to These Terms

These terms may be updated from time to time to reflect how IndoLink operates. Continued participation in the community following any update constitutes acceptance of the current terms. Members are encouraged to check this page periodically.
